*IMPORTANT UPDATE. We will be using a wireless Virtual Reality headset called the Oculus Quest. It is recommended for ages 13+. However, our students are younger than this. They will remain in a seated position and not use the handheld controllers. I will be by their side the entire time, verbally guiding them to move their head to look around a virtual world. They will be using the Wander app to travel to different areas on Earth, like where the artist that we are studying lived. The Wander app is like Google Maps but you are able to view locations in 360 degrees. For example, we traveled to Paris to see the Eiffel tower. We were able to see if from several angles and even stand under it and look up into its belly! Students do not have to participate if they do not want to. As their legal guardian, please research this headset and app and see if it is safe fit for you and your child. To opt out of this activity, please inform Miss Autumn verbally or in writing.
*It is not mandatory, but it is predicted that we will have a great deal of fun drawing, painting, sculpting, etc.! Thank you for supporting small businesses and art education.
