The Mostly True Stories of Very Real Pets: Covid Edition Written and Illustrated by, Sno
Thank you to everyone who has participated so far in sharing the stories of their furry, feathered and scaled friends! Since my idea's conception in 2020 when I left the classroom, began nannying and had to quickly get over my fear of dogs (shout out to the kind and curious Oreo!), I have formed an illustration style, created 55 illustrations and written 26 poems to bring this ABC book to life. Thank you for your stories about how your pets, or the memories of them, have helped you and yours through a pandemic. I can't wait for you to see how these pets from all over the country have found themselves as roommates, neighbors and friends in this book that unites all of our experiences.
Pictured above is Ella the English Bulldog, their pirate parrot mate and a treasure map.
My first draft is finally completed but I still have much work to do. I have pet continuity, background continuity, pet design for optimal cuteness, and hand lettering work to tackle...and I haven't even thought about color yet.
As I continue to make progress, I will update you all.
In the meantime, Follow me on socials:

And if you have a new pet to recommend for the next book in the series: 'Unknown Edition,' please fill out this new release form to be considered for the next one:
Thank you all for your continued support over the years. Small businesses and local artists always need our community's help and you all really came through on this project.
