Sno is interviewed by Creators, Assemble! as one of their Limelight Artists.
Sno (they/them), formerly Miss Autumn, is a graduate of West Chester University, a state college in south eastern Pennsylvania. They have a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education (birth-3rd grade) and had a Master Teacher Permit with School Age Emphasis from the state of California.
They taught preschool at a Reggio-based (art/science/play) location in La Jolla, Ca. for seven years, in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood for six years and as a substitute in varied classroom settings and locations. This is their nineth year teaching the art program that they designed and founded in San Diego, California. They have brought their art program to schools, homes, small businesses, art festivals, an art museum, international locations via Zoom, a global animation project and most recently, to self-paced eLearning lessons that can be experienced world-wide. Growing up on the East Coast, Sno began drawing, painting murals, reading art books and freehand sketching cartoon characters as a child. Art became a hobby, then a passion, and soon after, a skill.
Sno uses they/them pronouns and identifies as Nonbinary, Agender and Female to Nonbinary (FTN) Trans.
In response to the murder of Mr. George Floyd and the rise of hate crimes against the AAPI communities in 2020, Sno decided to exclusively teach art lessons about artists from underrepresented communities, to bridge the educational gap between ignorance/racism and understanding.
They research to the best of their ability but being that they exist as a white American, their view through the white lens may need to be corrected at times. They welcome any corrections to misunderstandings so that they may better serve their students and the communities being studied. Sno has led several public art shows for their students within the North Park community, both at booths at Ray at Night and The North Park Festival of Arts.

Sno is dressed up as the character Jack Burton from the movie Big Trouble in Little China during a Halloween-day class. They are reading the students a book about Salvador Dali. Sno has painted Stephen Colbert as a hobbit and Tom Hanks from the movie Big to try to be selected for Colbert's 'Small Biz Bump' to raise funds for the business. They weren't selected but these paintings are on sale under the 'Enroll & Store' tab!
Sno holds a Trans flag and is very excited to change their gender on their California license from an 'F' to an 'X.'
