August 2020 Theme: Urban Environmental Artist Tyree Guyton

“The energy to create is never ending and so therefore art is!" -TyreeGuyton

      Saturdays @ 10am, 11am or 12pm PST

Ages: 3-17

Class Size: 8 households (Invite the whole fam!)

Goals: Have a blast!

Learn about Detroit-based artist Tyree Guyton

Create our own unique works by studying the structures of the Heidelberg Project

Older students will assist in reading story books to younger students

All students will be encouraged to speak in front of the group about their work-

their process, their materials, their feelings

Have an end-of-the-month review discussion guided by

         Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory

Have a gallery party wherein we show our class where our work is displayed

in the home and tell our gallery-goers about our piece

Schedule: Over each 45 minutes, we will begin with a warm-up drawing and share that work.

We will then read a story, work on our main creations and discuss our work.

We always say goodbye with air high-fives and a silly imagination-based outro
