August 2021 Theme: Sculptor Han Sai Por
Saturdays @ 10am (Zoom) or 11:30am in-person, PST
Zoom - 8 households
In-person - 1 household, 3 students
Have a blast!
Learn about Singaporean sculptor Han Sai Por and her sculptures that revolve around nature
Create our own unique drawings or paintings by studying Han Sai Por’s use of line and color
Older students will assist in reading story books to younger students when possible
All students will be encouraged to speak in front of the group about their work-
their process, their materials, their feelings
Have an end-of-the-month review discussion guided by Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory
Have a gallery party wherein we show our class where our work is displayed in the home and tell our gallery-goers about our piece
Over each 45 minutes on Zoom (1hr. in-person), we will begin with a warm-up drawing and share that work.
We may read a story, work on our main creations and discuss our work.
We always say goodbye with air high-fives and a silly imagination-based outro
