Learn about illustrator George Littlechild of the Plains Cree Nation, Canadian First Nation

Create our own unique drawings or paintings by studying Littlechild’s use of line, color and materials

Older students will assist in reading story books to younger students when possible

All students will be encouraged to speak in front of the group about their work-

their process, their materials, their feelings

Have an end-of-the-month review discussion guided by Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory

Have a gallery party wherein we show our class where our work is displayed at the home and tell our gallery-goers about our piece

Schedule:

Over each 1hr. in-person class, we will begin with a warm-up drawing and share that work.

We may read a story, work on our main creations and discuss our work.

We may say goodbye with air high-fives, a silly imagination-based outro and/or smelly stickers.
